I really need to get to Petit Paris, especially after reading about that cheese 😀

(Hopefully) Constructive Feedback from me [but feel free to ignore me as it is your Substack after all, and my views may well not match those of your other subscribers]:

BBQ Lobster and Miso Custard - these were already covered in the Skof article, it feels a bit repetitive reading about them again (no problem if you're recalling the dish as part of something else though) ... although I admit the bits about Chawanmushi & Agadashi tofu were interesting (perhaps cover those either in the original article or if they must flow over into another article then in a 'Did you know?' or 'Extra titbits' section? Rather than adding the same subtitle again for dishes that have already been covered elsewhere).

Also, the title is "Sixteen good things I ate in May" - so I don't think the "Botivo Negroni at home" should be included in this list.  Maybe just keep that for your other wine-focussed Substack?

I realise you might sometimes have visited fewer places than you might want to in a given month (or feel the need to cover everything you visited), but less is more in my eyes (or, specifically, more of the different is preferred)

I also appreciate this comes across as negative, but I do enjoy your writing style (it shows off your great personality) and it's great to hear about all the joy you're getting out of the various foods you've been trying.  I guess though if we're living vicariously through your writing it's the novel venues/foods and the insider info that piques the interest most and structuring that in a way that's always fresh.

ANYWAY 🙂, I love the sound of Jikoni (I don't think I've been to Marylebone, but I have tried a really nice place in Chelsea called 'Yashin Ocean House' (it was about 7 years ago now - I went for lunch prior to an unsuccessful interview, but it was good stuff!)

That veggie breakfast looks great too 🤗 I also didn't know there were many different types of radicchio 😅
