‘I want to eat that’ is a newsletter by food and wine writer Kelly Bishop AKA Kel Is Eating

I’m the person everyone goes to when they need advice on where to eat in Manchester. My newsletter will make you want to eat. It’s bulging with tips on where to eat in Greater Manchester. If you want recommendations you can trust written in a knowledgeable and (hopefully) witty style, sign up.

Why should you listen to me? I have lived in Manchester for over 20 years and have lived in every part of the city and eaten in pretty much every suburb. I have always been obsessed with food and I have high standards and a low tolerance for hype.

I also happen to have worked in top roles for two of the major digital lifestyle magazines in the city. Manchester’s Finest and Confidentials as well as Time Out, VICE and others. I am a judge at the Manchester Food and Drink Awards, a member of the Guild of Food Writers and a qualified wine expert who teaches at Manchester Wine School amongst other places.

Subscribers get full access to my newsletter and website. Sign up to reduce your food FOMO considerably. New subscribers also give me, a writer with a pitifully fragile ego, a welcome little boost of serotonin.

What’s really, honestly good to eat and drink in Manchester?

I’m out there, lugging my wobbly arse around Greater Manchester and finding good things to eat. I’m selective. I’m not on a mission to create endless reams of fast content. I want to explore and find the good stuff. Sometimes it will be new, sometimes you will wonder how you missed out on it for so long. Main thing is, I’m not being paid by anyone for this (except you, if you subscribe) so I can tell you the truth.
